I wanna say when the Tundra first came out it was going to be named the "T150". Then ford attempted to take them to court and Toyota backed down.

Ford is in a BAD way! I'll tell ya what....I want a new truck in the worst way. Can't justify 50 grand for a super duty, and as much as I love the new F150, can't justify an underpowered truck that can't tow my Lightning. Sooo, I'm going to buy a new UNlimited Jeep Rubicon and have a toy for a couple years. Hopefully by then Ford will have thier heads out of thier ****, otherwise its bowtie time!

Hi my Name Is Bill and I'm a Fudge Packing A$$ hoooooooooooooole

Yep ole Tom or Bill or whatever the quiv's name is surly destroying the Company.

SRT-8 Baby, thats the Jeep to buy
That thang is 101% Hi-Performance from head to toe....
(Im negotiating with a Dealer over one now ; o )

0-60 mph in under 5 seconds (wet or dry)
Quicker than Porsche Cayenne Turbo, BMW X5
Top speed: 155+ MPH Quarter mile: Mid-13's

This thing may be overpriced, (and it's a jeep, been there done that a couple of times) BUT got dam this thing is 101% Hi-Performance in ever aspect of the word. It actually has a full fledge built motor including anything and everything anyone could want in a built motor. Reinforced engine block, forged steel crankshaft, high-strength powdered-metal connecting rods, floating-pin pistons (cooled by oil squirters), oil pan modified to manage oil return to the pan sump at high engine speeds. New higher-flow cylinder heads, a specially designed intake manifold and fresh-air induction system. Larger-diameter valves (intake and exhaust valve stems are hollow, and the exhaust valve stems are filled with sodium to help dissipate heat more efficiently), reshaped ports for maximized air flow. The intake manifold was designed with larger-diameter and shorter runners for higher-speed tuning. Performance-oriented camshaft, peak power output to 6,000 RPM. Headers with individual tubes encased in a stainless steel shell, exhaust is 2.75-inch with 4-inch chrome tips. A special upgraded torque converter, A580 five-speed automatic transmission. Upgraded Dana 44 rear differential with a larger ring gear and new axle housing.

Top that off with a Hi-Performance suspension, 20" Bling Rims, four-piston Brembo's on all 4 corners, 420/420 6.1 Hemi and AWD, and I cant possibaly think of a better Dual Purpose Vehicle. I'll prob throw a SC on it and go whoop some Lightning Butt amof soon after I finally cut a deal on one

(wonder if I can order it without that stupid "Hemi" written on it though
)

A very good friend of mine bought one a week or so ago and brought it by for me to check out, extremely impressive Then I did some research and WAS EVEN MORE IMPRESSED
Got to make sure I can afford it before I sign away, but I def want it so I'm sure I'll strap myself and buy it anyway (@$400.00 a month to buy over 72 mo's if I give them the Mitsu)

Not bad for the Family Vehicle

That is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... holy crap 6 years.

I'm currently driving my 4th Jeep product. I love them. Except the gas mileage. the srt-8 GC is impressive, but not in my budget right now.

IM, the gas MPG is insane isnt it, I had a couple myself, but then again my Mitsiwhateverthehellitis is now costing me at least 15.00 a day to drive NO WHERE. I charge all my Gas (what else) and lately it's been over 500.00 a month : o ()

Whip when you owe out as much as I do money has no meaning no more.
I figure with my lifestyle I got another 10 (maybe 20) years, why not go out in style owing out a cool Mill (thats my goal in life and I'm sticking to it)

Bro this is too much of a game now with the Lightning, over 75K total in investment and I'm running the same Et's I was when I had 1K in mods in it.
I simply dont have time to play these games anymore, how many frigging tunes and Dyno's can one put up with. Look at me now, after all I've been through here I am with still no Race Tune and unfortunately Jim still has no time for me, (believe me I have been trying). So what am I suppose to do wait around forever ? it's already been over 1/2 a year since I got it back,
not to mention I thought I had my race program all along.

But to answer your question NO I wouldnt sell the L to get the SRT, I would give them the Mitsu (thats worth @12-16K still) and then sign away. Weather or not I could afford to keep both I dont know, but I do know I cant keep throwing money at the L, and my best guess would be 420/420 would be a good starting point to replace it. Add a S/C, Turbo, or go go juice, and chit I can drive to the track, keep the AC going, never get out the Jeep,
(no need to change tires with AWD) and STILL WHOOP GATORS BUTT

Do I need a Car like this, NO
Do you want a Car like this, OH YA!!!

The Dealer just e-mailed me a few minutes ago amof, but of course I'm fking with them, breaking ***** BIG TIME, asking for schitt for free, you know the usual ME, we'll see how it works out the next few days.....

Re: Gc Srt-8

Guys,

I'm considering selling my wife's Expedition and getting the GC SRT-8 for her. How is the ride? I haven't driven one yet, and I don't have any friends at Jeep dealerships. I figure they're like all the others with these "limited edition" vehicles and won't let me drive one... but I haven't gotten serious enough to ask, I guess.

I know the gas mileage will be bad, but our Expy doesn't get crap for mileage either.

We really liked the Jeep SRT/8 but for the money ($7k less I should say) the TrailBlazer SS got the win and we got one to replace my wifes Mach 1 last month.

I find it funny that while some of you are bitching for bigger and bigger engines and saying Ford is messed up for not offering one... I look at the 2004 Forum and see all the guys looing for ways to save fuel or even worse, selling the trucks becasue the fuel is unrealistic.

Sorry, when gas hits $4/gallon, not too many will want a 8mpg engine.
