Microsoft Works Suite

I recently reinstalled Works Suite after my computer crashed a couple of months ago. Installation was successful. Now it's gone. What would make that happen?

It's not gone. It's just hiding from you.

I've been down this road at least a half dozen times with co-workers.

Let's put it this way. If you plant a tree in your yard; what is the chance it's going to just vanish? Exactly. Neither did your software.

I'm not an expert on computer prgramming. I just checked under add/remove programs and it's not there either. So if I try to reintall again, it will stop me if I already have it hiding somwhere?

yep, the other thing you can do is pay attention to where it's installing too (c:\program files\microsoft works <-- something like that) then go into windows explorer and see if it's there. It should install icons on your desktop or start menu though. Pay attention to all the prompts/messages that come up too. Might be such a thing as it wants to install only a certain way. Software that comes with a computer can do crap like that. Good Luck.

Yeah....the icons were all there after re-installation. Now gone? Thanks for the advice. I'll try that.

Thanks! Nope, not there. Don't know what could have happened. I'll try reinstalling and see what happens.

I believe it actaully calls itself Office when it installs.

So could it be somewhere else I haven't looked? I didn't reinstall yet. Saving it for tomorrow.

I believe only part of it goes there. The suite includes Word, which would go in the office directory. Works should have it's own directory.
I will have to verify that when I get home this afternoon.

Looks about right; I suppose. I was just clarifying Works is not Office.
