funny... its the one vehicle that outsells the F150 in what is about to be the most watched segment given the GMT 900, plus next gen Tundra plus expected refreshes for F150, Ram and Titan within 2 or 3 models years of each other

I'm no GM lover, but their lineup is stronger than Ford right now.

First, always happy to see American brands doing better. I love to see innovation on the truck front.

J-150, what are you talking about with an Avalanche outselling F150's? I'm going on an unscientific (what I see on the road) platform, but, not all that many.

Now on to the meat of the thread. Uhm, great. Happy for GM. But uh, this is f150online.com right? So...go..shew..scat...go away now....

Careful with throwing that around if you haven't seen the flareside F150s...I don't care if Ford calls it "composite", if a magnet won't stick and it ain't aluminim, it's plastic.

btw, I own one, and it's a tough SOB. Drove through a hailstorm Friday nite that was putting vehicles off the road and breaking windshields...not a ding in the truck.

Exclamation

You cannot ignore the fact that the Chevy Duramax / Allison combo is the strongest powertrain sold in the 3/4 & 1 ton platform offered in the United States... no competition at all.

Now, they're still ugly as sin...

When it comes to crs, GM has been kickign Ford's *** for at least 3-4 decades. The only thing that kept Ford in the game was the F-150, The Mustang, and to a lesser extent, the Taurus.

Once the Taurus stopped appealing to the masses, and police departments started shying away from Crown Vics, Ford's auto fortunte began to slip.

If you count Silverado's and Sierra's, yes- GM does outsell the F-150. Silverado & Sierra = same truck, different name.

The Five Hundred (Could have been so much better) and the Fusion (Solid first shot) are the hottest (Non-Mustang) cars to roll off a Ford lot, in YEARS.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I'm just going to mention this is GD. If we were to apply the "f150 only" rule in GD, then what's the point of a GD forum? We may as well close the American Idol thread, what does that have to do with trucks in the first place?

And before you belittle me for defending this guy, what threads have you started in GD that didn't have anything to do with an f150?

I'm just saying is all, continue flaming.

This thread did not start in GD it started in 04-06, which is where I found it. It was then moved from 04-06 to GD.

let's set a few things straight...

the GMT900 Avalanche is the same platform as the GMT900 Silverado.

Before you guys go and slam it without driving it, you should do yourself the favor of seeing if there is anything better in the marketplace.

You didnt like the last gen... thats fine. You guys are the first one to apologize for all of Fords errors in the past.

I've been driving and owning Ford trucks longer than you buddy!

I just happen to not have my head up my **** where the competition is concerned.

Some of you guys are hysterical. Its all FORD FORD FORD and anyone that suggests otherwise is a troll. Yet you mindless sheep that wont even consider a test drive of another truck have non-Ford cars in your driveways.

Hypocrites

That actually explains a lot! I was a little worried that we were jumping all over him for his post.
