I know what you're saying. We're on the Cape, and I should have mowed my lawn last monday. 2 Acres of grass, and now I cant even see the picnic table. When the sun does come out, the grass will be out of control. And I'll find my sons baseball, when it comes out of the chute at 200 MPH.
By the way Zap- did you ever do "Haiku" in school?

because a lot of your posts
seem to follow a pattern
you post on one line
and then on another
until you get to the idea of the post

J/K bro- I'm a little "cabin fevered" up right now....

it has been on a pretty constant cyle down here in Louisiana. Rain for a day or 2 then gradually get hotter for about a week then a front will come in and rain and cool it down. Been doing that for about a month now.

We got over 9" of rain in 21 days... which is a lot for us. Went from drought to floods.

The yard finally dried out enough Friday to walk on, so I got the tractor out and "brush-hogged" it. Now that it's down to a reasonable height, I can mow it with the riding lawn mower.

Are you getting flooded? From what the news is saying the area north of you is getting hit pretty hard. 12" in a few days?

We haven't got all that much out here in the western part of the state. It's pretty amazing that 70mi away they cam be getting flooding when we've only got a few puddles here.

PHIL COLLINS lyrics - "I Wish It Would Rain Down"

www.OldieLyrics.com

You know I never meant to see you again
and I only passed by as a friend
All this time I stayed out of sight
I started wondering why

Now I, I wish it would rain down, down on me
Yes I wish it would rain, rain down on me now

You said you didn't need me in your life
I guess you were right
Well I never meant to cause you no pain
But it looks like I did it again

Now I, I wish ....

Though your hurt is gone, mines hanging on, inside
And I know it's eating me through every night and day
I'm just waiting on your sign

'Cos I know, I know I never meant to cause you no pain
And I realize I let you down
But I know in my heart of heart of hearts
I know I'm never gonna hold you again

Now I...

Not sure of the year, but I agree. Great song. I'm playing it now.

Raining at Indy like crazy lately, Saturday was supposed to be pole qualifying and it got rained out, today's qualifying got rained out. Now they are hoping to qualify the entire field on Saturday . . . but I got a bad feeling that will be rained out too.

Bummer.

At least it will allow Rahal/Letterman to tune that damn Panoz chassis.

Rained 2 days straight. Forecast was for showers. Weather forecasters!! They should learn what the difference is between showers and downpour.
