The Mach 1 Is Back From Paint...(Pics)
Some of you from time to time have asked how the restoration is going on the Mach. It's been slow, but it's getting done. Here's where it started...

This was after the motor was put back in...(390 4V, with C6 Auto)...

And this is yesterday, back from paint, just before it was taken in for all the glass, headliner, and upholstery. ( In the pics, it has a junker seat in it for driving on and off the trailer. The interior is still gutted.)

That thing is DEAD SEXY! I have a 69 HT that I think was originally Acapulco Blue. I think I want to go darker though when I get around to restoring it. Maybe a Presidential Blue. If not Midnight Blue with silver stripes.
OK, I am officially very, very jealous! I've wanted a '69 Mach 1 for years...about 30 years to be exact...I keep hoping...
BTW, it looks absolutely awesome...when are you going to take me for a spin?

reminds me of when we got mrs zaps falcon back from the body shop..
nice and shiney...
no interior
no mouldings
no bumpers
no carpet
no lights
no nothing
and i put the whole car together in 4 days
looks awesome..
but be ultra careful..
theres alot of work ahead my friend
lots of wrestleing with seats and everything else
dont scratch the paint by being careless..
i came close a couple of times..
little hint ..
b-4 putting the bumpers on
tape some fender covers to the fenders where the bumper "wraps around"
one false move and the bumper will waste the paint job there...
and as my body man said while we were putting the car on the ramp truck..
"you hurt my paint job i hunt you down like dog"
GT wheels? i hope?
if you need any parts..let me know
ya never know whats in the barn down louies..
