Do you think the F-150 will remain the Best selling truck in years to come?
with the price of gas on the rise in the US, ford should bring some of their cars over from Europe.
The Sierra cosworth, Scorpio and the Escort cosworth were bad *** cars.
here is what is available in England now.

I think it will be close next year with chevy releases the new 07. I feel alot of chevy owners will be ready to get rid of their outdated trucks and step into something newer feeling. Its too bad though, because they are three years behind Ford.

( I have owned more than just a few F-150's and yes, My personnel opion is The F-150 quality wise has gone down hill. I will never buy a Ford again and I'm not along, Ford can only play the odds and loyality card for so long.)
Ford would get their asses kicked at this point in time trying to certify a diesel engine in a half ton truck with the fuels available right now. They get around all that in Superduties because of their GVWR. And define "work truck." As I've used mine, it's functioned just fine as a "work truck." It tows just fine, the payloads I've thrown in the bed haven't taxed it at all.
( So Ford can't compete on a level playing Field, GM and Dodge put diesel engine's in the same body style of truck ( accept they are 3/4 ton ) are Dodge and GM hinderd by the same rules? a small v/6 diesel or I 6 engine in a 1/2 ton will out sell a gas one allmost 2 to one, no matter who builds it.. and Work truck ???? my 04 has had to manny issues just running, and came with P rated hancooks, kills any work mode right thier and the axle seals are shot, If I don't keep checking the diff fluid trucky no go for work...)
So we can all drive the same, vanilla flavored truck, like GM and Chrysler.
In case you haven't noticed, the vast majority of the public today do use their trucks and SUVs as cars. What's so wrong with making a quiet, comfortable vehicle that does double duty as a very capable pickup for the vast majority of buyers out there?
( OK point made, were all free to drive what we want )
I might be a bit presumptious in this, but I'd like to see a 1948 Toyota, Honda, or Nissan pickup.
( not in north America, but toyota and datsun/nissan made trucks for the jap army in ww2, )
That's the stupidest remark I've read on this site in a long time. Again, basing a remark like that on your experience with a Ford truck, when there are literally millions running with few if any problems is ignorant. Are there trucks that aren't right? Of course. But I'm a firm believer that the good, problem free trucks outweigh the bad. Uncle Henry couldn't stay in business if all he built was junk.
Will they stay on top? Prolly not. All good things must come to an end. The competition keeps getting better every day.
But I ain't gonna make any dumbass rants and ravings about what will or won't do Ford in, and what it'll take to "fix" 'em. Try fixing your narrow bias towards the brand because of your bad experiences before posting again.

Well the only thing I can say that when your on the top you can only go down but I personally dont think that it will be from a toyo or another ricer company. A truck that proves it self on the work site will probably be the #1 seller. I dont think that toyo has a work truck that can compete with any of the big 3.
For the people that dont want their truck to ride like a suv try putting some real truck tires on it then it will ride like a truck again. With a soft sidewall the truck rides like a car. A tire with a real load rating will be stiff and then you will complain that your truck drives like a truck and you will then say it rides like crap. You cant have you cake and eat it too.
Just my .02.
Ohh since im a diehard ford guy i say they will stay on top forever. lol
