computer help needed.

On my desktop i had an icon for the program, spybot. i never used it and it never found anything so i removed the program. its now gone but on start up i still get this icon there. it used to be there over the top of the spybot icon. if i click the little X it goes away and wont come back till i restart. i guess its in the start up but i don't know what it is called.

anyone else have this with their spybot. it was always with it since i originally downloaded it.

I'll restart and take a snapshot.

Try this:

Re-install Spybot and use it.

????

Click start>programs>startup and see if its in there.

If not it may be in the

start>run>type msconfig. when that opens click on the startup tab.

Good luck. Its in there somewhere.

Well, beyond the sarcasm, yeah, Spybot is actually a good thing. You can't just delete the icon? right click, delete. You could also try reinstalling spybot and then uninstalling it again.

I dont know what that is. Right click it and go to properties see if there is an executable (.exe) in its path.

Nice glock too. I used to have the 21. Traded up for the 30. Packs a .45 acp punch in the palm of your hand

I dont think that icon is spybot. Let us know what you find in its properties. Its somekind of toolbar

Flippin MS works. It probably came with your PC. Works is a VIRUS! I dont know why they keep the works product with word being part of their office suite.

Glad you found it!!!

I have the same thing, it is some sort of picture program or viewer. I just click it and alt+f4 and it goes away until restart.

That's why I build my own machine, install everything myself, and don't let anyone touch it. If something goes wrong, I know it's my fault and can usually find the problem very quickly.
