OK, so I'm ****** around with Internet Explorer the other night and I did something to make my favorites menu on the tool bar go away-blank. My Favorites menu is on another window and for the life of me I can't get it's contents back to the Fav. menu on the tool bar. Can't drag and drop, can't copy and paste, can't seem to move anything in Windows Explrorer.
Not sure if I understand your problem correctly, but if I do, try this...
After all of the icons at the top of the toolbar is an arrow icon (>>), which gives you a Customize option. If you select this on the right hand side "Current toolbar buttons" gives you the Favorites selection. Then you can select it and add it to the left hand side "Available toolbar buttons". This will put the Favorites button selection back into the toolbar. Hope this helps.

I'm under the same impression as Mrs. Zap
You only have the "more" icon, that looks like >> if you have buttons covered up. If all buttons are exposed then you do not have the "more" >> icon.
Go here
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...ombrowser.mspx
The Create a Custom Toolbar Layout section
Explains how to expose hidden icons if you have the >> icon
The Customize the Toolbar Buttons section
Explains how to add or remove icons if you accidentally removed "Favorites" button...
Now if you mean that when you click on favorites that it opens up in a new window.... I have seen that before and can't remember what I did to fix it. If that's what it is then I can search and find out what to do again.

Use FireFox.
http://getfirefox.com
It's more secure and far more capable than IE is or ever will be.
Opera is also a good choice.
