I too started doing the same as you on Friday - took my friend for a pull yesterday evening in the MAYBE 50 degree water too

That's what my wife and a friend used on my boat 2 weeks ago!
They did the entire boat with them, I had some mold damage on the gunnel and interior fibergalss too frim over the winter. Took it right off!

Took them two days to tell me what they used. They were scared to tell me. I was a little worried, glad to hear someone else has done it too. How long have you been using them?

Now I've got to get out and wash and wax the hull!

I've only used them since last year actually, what a breeze they make upkeep too. That's too funny they were afraid to tell ya They can do damage to some items but are great on a boat

About your hull cleaning - best trick ever, stuff wipes everything clean with a sponge, little to no effort.....believe this:

1/2 lysol toilet bowl cleaner 1/2 hydrogen peroxide, spray off with a pressure washer - wear yellow dish gloves though and then do a nice wax job......

AMAZING HOW WELL IT CLEANS THE HULL MAN Learned that from an oldskool saltwater fisherman - Keep it quiet

I'd read about the Hydrogen peroxide and something, I can't remember what. That may have been it.
It also said to use a special hydrogen peroxide from the pharmacy a higher concentrate or something.

I heard that helps with the water spots. I use vinegar on my black outboard and it removes the water spots that are a pain to get rid of.
