Maytag Repairman coming????
Maytag Repairman coming????
I thought Maytag repairs were to be done within 2 working days?? Now it has been since April 18th that I put in a request. I have been very patient, but my patience is running, or I should say, has already run out. I've made several calls and they transfer me to Sears, Canada Customer Service.
Well, they put in the work order, 3 times now, and no one has appeared. The closest Sears store is 100 miles away and they are now closed.
The stove is only about 6 months old and keeps beeping constantly.
Kinda like a teenager. It talks but won't do what you want it to.
I now have been able to contact the contracted repair depot, but they haven't returned my call, but they did order a control panel. How can he know what is wrong when he hasn't even called or appeared to take a look at what is wrong?
As you can tell, I'm p'd right off.
End of rant.
PS. I'm getting tired of microwaved dinners.:santa:

I'v had our Maytag Gemini Stove repaired 3 times for a noisy 110v/12v transformer, plus I changed the Convection fan myself a few months ago cause it was noisy. My stove is only a year and a half old. Every other Appliance is Whirlpool with no problems at all.
We got the Maytag Oven cause it was the only one that we knew of at the time that had 2 ovens in a regular format stove/range
Dpostman

I'm dismayed at the service. I called Maytag and they said they only supply the seller (Sears) with the appliances. The people at Sears told me they contract out the service. I finally was able to get the contractor onthe phone yesterday and they couldn't find the work order and said they would call me back right away. Called at 11:30AM yesterday, still no reply today. (where's the icon for pulling out hair??)
My next step is to call the store I got it from (Sears) and just demand a replacement stove. But reading the Warranty in the User's manual, it says they are only responsible to replace the part that has proved to be defective within the first year, and labour, etc.
I think I'll get another run-around bunch of BS from them. Next will be Consumer Affairs.

We had a Maytag refrigerator for a few years. Finally got rid of it because it was so loud. Evidently, their engineers can't hear very well, all their stuff must be loud.

Maytag has recently been purchased by Whirlpool.
Its quite possible there is a void. No one is sure who will cover the warranty, the repair etc.
You may need to call Maytag directly and have them get involved.

We bought a MayTag front load Neptune washer and dryer in 2000. Nothing but trouble. Look up maytag neptune on google and you will probably find the class action suit against Maytag because they are garbage. Two computer boards, door lock, motor, and now the motor computer board. Like you say about noise, our fridge is very loud too. I think the motor is undersized so it runs almost constantly. They say its more efficient that way. No more Maytag for me. Isn't it funny how we buy into commercials. It must be dependable because they said it in a commercial.
