welded bearing wear on a 5" anvil cutter roll journal..
7018 rod 5/32 diameter..puddle is 3/4" wide 1/8" tall

...zap!

Alrighty, tell Paul he's the one that burned my eyes with the first pic.

If I wake up at 3AM and it feels like I have sand in my eyes, I'm holding him responsible.

I did that once.....I hated life too. That's not a fun thing getting weld burns.

little hint for ya..

if you get "flashed" by a welder and theres flourecent lights in the building..

stare at the lights for about a minute or so

you wont have the sand in eyes sensation

no b.s.
it works
25 yrs of professional welding and to this day i hav'nt had the "sensation"


and i'v flashed myself enough over the yrs....

...zap!

Good tip. Wish I would have known that when I burned my eyes in Ag Mechanics in High School.
