I'd like to go forward in time to see kinda of miserable outcome my life has in store for me. Plus that whole win-the-lottery scam would be sweet. Or to see if the chick your dating is going to hold up over time... I mean you don't want to marry some chick if she's not going to age well, right?

Are we going and staying there, resuming life in that time period or are we coming back the the present with the knowledge we have gained.

If we are resuming where we are, then i am going forward. i want to know the exact time, place and circumstance of my death. I don't want to be able to alter any of it, just know about it. This way i can better be perpared, and make for less hassles for anyone I may leave behind. Even plan a huge going away party. Hell I would even invite some of the fine people here.

I also think the 1940's would be cool. The country was united, the clothes were cool. I also think the music was cool. The Big Band Era... Would only stay about 1 week though. I kinda like where I'm at now.

I would go back a couple of years & be more of a hard *** with the finances. Maybe then we would be on our 2 acre with the barn/garage & not have to pay for 2 storage spaces since they don't have one big enough for the truck & trailer together.

I also believe I was born in the wrong era. I wish I was my dad's age right now, maybe a little younger.

I'd go back to 1971.....the year I became aware.

You see, I missed the starting gun, no one told me when to run.

This isn't a dress rehearsal boys and girls. You only have one chance to make the most of your life.

Start young, and never look back.

There is nothing worse than......What if?

I guess I'm pretty happy with the here and now. Can't think of a good reason to go forward or back.

#1. I wouldn't have sold my placer gold claim for a measley 2G because gold went to $800/oz about a month later.
#2. I wouldn't have sold my "grandfathered" double lot in the middle of town for a measley 4G.
#3. I wouldn't have sold my 1968 Mustang for a measley 2G.
#4. I would have finished University and become neurosurgeon and made Millions of $$$'s.

Yeah, I would go back, but as long as I continued to have the friends and family I have now.

The "starting gun" line is from Pink Floyd:Dark Side Of The Moon ....my favorite album.

From the song Time.......

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it’s sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you’re older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I’d something more to say

The rest of the stuff I made up. It's what I tell my grown children every chance I get.

I thought that I'd heard it some where... sounded familiar but I just couldn't place it.

Are we allowed to come back to the present??

I'd say I would go forward...get the winning lottery numbers/stock ticker and Super Bowl results...then go back...or I would go back to 1974 and smack the crap out of myself and say "start playing hockey/golf/football, become great at either so I can turn pro, and don't buy the used '79 Chevette"..

Either way...I'm not picky..

I'd like take about $50,000 back to 1970, buy a couple cars, and place some bets on sporting events. Come back with some badass cars and more money than I left with

I think I would go back to July 4, 1976.

The bicentennial would be a good party to start with. Then I would begin my highly successful career as an investor in real estate and technology.

Before I left, I would research the stockmarket, real estate appreciation, sports results, lottery numbers, antique gun prices, Civil War artifact prices and the recent Barrett Jackson auto auction sales results.

Even if you could not bring any diamonds, gold or currency with you, a knowledge of upcoming events would make you rich very quickly. The day Microsoft comes on the market, I am buying about 10% of the shares.

There would be lots of cool muscle cars available for cheap. I would probably pick up a low mileage yellow '69 Boss 302 and a red '65 Mustang convertable daily driver for a less than $5,000 combined. I'd add a '67 Shelby GT500 and a Cobra to my collection within a few years.
