A buddy of mine put it like this. Take a picture of your Truck, House, Family, Boat, Etc... Then when the urge hits you, take those pictures out and rip them in half- cause that's all you'll get when the Divorce comes along. It's Ok to flirt, just don't cross that line in the sand.

k, here's a topic:

Was listening to one of Stephen Hawking's lectures on the nature of Black holes the other day. He presented a theory that I thought was interesting. It's been a couple weeks, but I think he basically was trying to say that maybe black holes, or some, operate like atoms do but on an infinenetly more massive scale. He talked about the possability of two black holes that could form with opposing properties orbiting around each other untill, eventually, they fall into each other. In effect, cancelling each other out and becoming something completely different.

hmmm, gonna have to listen to that lecture again.....

Just some random thoughts....

I'm all for flirting, regardless of whether you're married or not! Just because you have a commitment to someone else doesn't mean you lose your appreciation for the opposite sex, and some good-natured flirting helps keep all of us feeling good about ourselves. People are (in my opinion) often WAY too uptight about a little playful sexual banter.

Don't get your "meat" the same place you get your "bread" -- great advice given to me by a long-ago boss who saw my normal excellent work ethic adversely affected by chasing tail on the job!

As you implied, I love my truck, house, and lifestyle WAY too much to screw around on my wife! I can think of very few divorced men who I have met in my life who aren't pretty pathetic sights -- either financially, emotionally, or otherwise -- after their divorce!

Hawking is still alive. I tell you, for a guy that can't talk, he makes your mind want to roll around crying when you realize just how much you DON'T know.

Hmmmm. Some very good posts. Just an observation though. Not all divorced people are unhappy. In fact, most of the ones I know are extremely better off.

I agree- I know I'm way better off! What I thought was good was just mediocre (sp?) to my life now!!!

I know a bunch of divoced people some happy about it some glad. I can't quite understand how one can be so happy to have their freedom, and the next thing you here is they are getting married again. The cycle starts all over.

I have people ask when I am getting married, I just laugh and tell them the reasons I am not.

1) I'm a selfish bastard.
2) Not the easiest person to get along with.
3) Don't think there is anyone that would put up with me. Although there have been a few that gave it a shot.

Many years ago when i had a co-worker flirt with me, my way out was to try and set her up with a friend. But that did not work and she got the idea.

And dang she was pretty hot. Just reminded me way to much of the x-wife.

A triple A personality with a cutting sarcastic humor, also intense.
