Heres my guess...you were pissed off because you had to load this stupid thing and drag it all the way back down here. So I'm sure the beers were flowing down just as fast as the trailer was getting loaded. Slammed the trailer door shut and had one more before you got on the road, maybe even took one with you....

So tell me...were you able to touch your nose and say the alphabet backwards

Stone sober. That was probably why the Pa State Trooper pulled me over. But what did **** me off is my sons friend and me loaded the trailer. He supervised to make sure we didn't hurt anything. He didn't even come home with us. He's out there another few days staying with a friend. He has to finish up a few more hours of pilot training. So now I'm taking a break from unloading the trailer while he's still out there with his buddies knowing I'm doing "his" work. He'll be moving again but things will be different next time. Of course I've said that before.

What's even worse is facing the music from you! LT will give me some sympathy.

I've had my 30' TT loaded off and you can really feel it. I've got the WD hitch and sway control. A simple thing of moving a suit case, tool box and a case of water to the other side in the back fixed it.
MASSIVE SWAY. One time it was so bad I was all over the road and thought it was gonna flip over on me.

Every now and then I ask one of the pilots is the guy behind him a TSgt. It's always a SSgt. I asked a KC135 crew about FE's. They've gottem. So you could always cross over. A friend of my sons is in the USAF and works on them. I think he's in Louisiana. There are 135s and B52s there.

My crew works nights tonight and tomorrow night but I'm off those 2 days. I'll be days on Sun and Mon.

The trailer is almost unloaded. There were some pretty heavy boxes we put in last and the 2 sofas which were along the sides shoved to the front were lighter than I thought. One thing I do remember when loading the truck is when it was done my son and 1 of his friends sat on the back floor taking a break and it stood the trailer up on end. But when they got off the trailers hitch went right back to the ground.

Maybe the weight was off a bit. I didn't think it was. One person did lift the trailer on to my hitch by himself. Even when I cranked the hitch down to the lowest position my truck did not sag at all which I thought it would have. I do know from past experience that carrying 4 motorcycles on a trailer I had to lower the hitch because it did sway until I adjusted it. That is why I lowered the hitch all the way down for the extra shift of weight. But this time it did not work.

It was definitely a scary 400 mile ride through the mountains and especially going through the 4 tunnels.

I don't know what crack those guys are smoking but the tanker version of the 135 does not have an FE. Most of the other version of the 135, the JSTARS, AWACS, Rivet Joint, Cobra Ball, etc they do have FE's. I would much rather put up with living in NJ than go fly a vintage 1958 technology airframe. Going to another airframe is not as easy as it sounds. It is actually very difficult and most assignments are made on a line-of-sight basis. If you happen to be in the building that day when the job was offered and you say yes, it's pretty much like that. I like the KC-10 too much to fly a 707. I would leave the KC-10 for the Gulfstream at Ramstein AB, Germany...

KC-10 FE out...

My first thought would be that U-Haul ain't exactly well renouned for the quality of their equipment. We take a 5x8 trailer to Texas every now and then; the most recent one we took swayed and bucked my truck around a bit, not enough to worry about, but it was definitely felt. It felt like the axle was out of alignment or something. I told the guy when I brought it back to him and he looked at me like I grew a third eye.

i would have guessed not enough tongue weight. i had the same problem towing a 18' boat and trailer put on my trailer. as soon as we took off the outboard and put it up by the tongue it was ok.

you drove right through Harrisburg on the turnpike. i prolly could have met you and helped adjust it or we could have had a bite to eat if i had known you were passing through.
i normally drive the turnpike to cross the river where the new bridge is being built.

It was getting dark when I crossed the Susquahana last night. I was holding on tight through the narrow construction area and was hoping the lane shifts weren't gonna grab the trailer. I normally glance over at TMI but not last night!!
