**nhl Playoff Official Thread**
WOW, what a game, first the #2 team in the west goes down to the Avalanche, now Edmonton beats out the #1 President trophy winner.
All I can say is bring on the most heated rivalry in the NHL, the battle of Alberta, if Calgary wins tonight that is.
From the post game interviews, Stevie Y is a class act, Chelios and Lagace on the other hand, not so much.

As a whole though, the Oil just played a better series. The wings for the most part never looked like they were in the playoff until last night.
And if suicides are high in Detroit, its not because of hockey. Its just because they live in Detroit.
Sled...
I missed the first 2 periods of the Wings game. I was happy turning on the TV start of the 3rd. When the Oilers scored the first goal, I could see it getting tough. BUT 4 GOALS?? Legace, his defenders, did a crappy job keeping the lane clear and pucks cleared out.
Is it football season yet??????

Yeah, it seems neither team really wanted to get to that point. It's sad. Yzerman may retire, at least he has a few rings. Bad way to go out though.
