Talking I Got A Boat!

I finally bought a boat! It's a 1973 Tahiti 16' with a 130 hp Chrysler. It's got a new (1999) trailer. It's in great shape except for the box frames that hold up the seats, but that's nothing $30 in plywood can't fix. More details to come, but food first

Sweet looking boat! When I first read 1973, I expected it to look like a dog, but it looks great! More pics please!

I've got more pics, but they ended up being kinda blurry. I need to name it...any suggestions? I was thinking "1970 Something" after the song.

Very nice.

Just what I have been looking for. I'm looking for a fixer upper, but looks like you don't have much to do on this one. How many hours since a rebuild on the engine?

Not sure, but it runs like a champ. I got a TON of spare parts with it, including an entire 120 hp Chrysler outboard, it's 100% complete, but I don't know if it runs, and the lower unit has been taken apart.

That's what I kept hearing, but it runs like a new one, and it's been owned by a mechanic forever, and I have so many freaking shop manuals to go with it you have no idea. And, I have TWO BOXES of extra parts that the previous owner stocked up on because he knew how hard it was to find parts for these motors.

Nice looking tub!

You'll have to bring it over to Lake Pomme De Terra and play with it and race me.

I'd name it "Woody" if it were me.
Because of the dash.

Guess what, wife ran into Lance today and he has some pics...

Seriously I'm not joking, he has some now but is having trouble with his email so he told her to tell me that he needed me to come fix his computer so he can send those pics to us.

BREW, I already told you, you already put that on your boat, and I'm not one to copy people. And just remember, that is the reason I will never go on your boat alone with you.

Woody?? There's no wood on the dash though... Have Lance send up the pics, I know a few people who are looking for a boat in that price range....I still like the sound of his boat but it'd be too much boat for me, too much gas and storage is $10 more a month if the boat is over 20' And the maiden voyage is scheduled for the river this Saturday morning, if anybody wants to join. And where is Pomme De Terra? I still need to get back to Table Rock

Oh yea I'm sure my mom would like that... Actually, she bought us a decorative sign thingy that says, "I don't need Viagra, I've got a Woody" that is painted on a cutout of a station wagon, gotta love the woody wagon that we have.
