You know what I think is the worst about the whole ricer fad?

Well, good...tell me, I can't decide. Too much to choose from.

I can't even think about how much time and $$ was spent on those cars- all to make them uglier, more annoying, less reliable, and advertise their owner's stupidity.

You'd be surprised how many arguments/debates I've gotten into at work, with blue-blooded American's who prefer technology, and a 1.7 Liter 300 HP VVT-i, DOHC, 16 valve, whatever- engine, in a small car, to that of a 454 big block, with 450 HP and 450 lb/ft. of torque.

These guys would much rather buy a new Civic and spend $12,000 to make it faster, than spend a little more, and buy a car that's already fast.

I admit, the WRX and EVO are impressive, but- I'd rather have a Mustang GT, even if it's the slower car...

There's nothing like hearing a set of flowmasters that are strapped to a V-8, come to life.

See now I wish I had my stang in the parking lot instead of sitting in my driveway.

Put a flowmaster SIDO on your truck...

It'll sound just as good, and just as fast... It just won't go as fast!

If my old Screw had been nearly as fast as it sounded; hoooooooweeee.

I personally don't like the whole import thing, but I saw this car when I went to use aap's dyno and since this is a lexus bash thread, I thought I'd show what they did with one badazz lex

http://www.lextreme.com/sc430tt.html

It doesn't list a HP figure, but best I remember it was 750. It has twin turbo's and nitrous

That I6 in the Supra (320 HP when sold in the US) has been modded to over 1,100 HP, so I definitely believe a V-8 can be massaged to that point.
