Iran will ‘cut off the hands’ of aggressors

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12365973/

Is it really in the best interest of Iran for this little smack to talk the way he does? I thought GW was arrogant but this little twerp is trying his hardest to out do him. We surely don't need another war or any other confrontations over there but he should quit trying to push GW's buttons. I'm quite sure after the US leveled his country they would find this cowardly leader hidden in some hole like his former neighbor. And if by chance McCain becomes our next President, which I hope doesn't happen, he'd better start looking for another country to live in.

Iran is safe from invasion. They now have nuclear weapons, like it or not we are not going in there unless there is absolutely no other choice.

In a way we accelerated the creation of a nuclear Iran and N. Korea. They saw what we did to the first member of the Axis of Evil and they knew they couldn't fight us conventionally. Now that they have nukes diplomacy is a much more likely outcome.

The law of unintended consequences strikes again.

I don't think the Bush administration wants to use diplomacy with the possibility of them having nukes or even close to having them. The "experts" say that Iran is many years away from having them. Iran is also gonna do what they can to form coalitions with other countries in that area.

All I have to say is that if Bush decides to keep on provoking Iran, he's going to have tons of ticked off Americans on his hands. I'm no oil expert but if Iran (being the 4th largest oil exporter) decides to stop supplying us oil.....possible gas shortages and gas prices sky high.

Two things....

1) gas just hit $3/gal here....due to this talk
2) Iran's president wants (seriously) to lay the ground work for "the end times"

Well, thats all fine and dandy in a world of "civilized" human beings. However, nowadays, that just is not the case with these fanatical idiots. I deal with these middle-eastern types every single day on an emergency basis and their "culture" is one that is way off the charts of normalism.

Quite frankly, I don't even know how they even survive life on a daily basis due to their out-of-control fanaticism. If Iran is nuclear armed, I can guarantee one of them is going to push the button, if not a lot of them.

In reality, how do you use "diplomacy" with a religious fanatic that has a hard-core belief that if and when they "kill" anyone and everyone who does not believe in Islam or the Muslim faith, they attain a higher place in eternal life? You can't. The refuse to listen. They willingly let go of "logic" and "common sense". They are building up to do what they plan to do, with an attitude that no one is going to tell them otherwise. Period!

Back in the 80's, Israel knew this and they stopped them dead in there tracks by taking out their nuclear facility. Today, Israel knows again exactly what those fruit-loops are up to and you can bet the plan is already in place to take them out again before they have a chance to push that button.

Let me put it this way- Diplomacy is too late for these people. Hopefully taking them out first won't be.

Fyrcom,

I don't disagree with you. Diplomacy may likely fail. However, Iran made the only logical choice it could to ensure its survival. If they have nuclear weapons than naturally their enemies will be more reluctant to launch a military attack against them.

I think right now they are running at the mouth and can't back up what they are saying but the idea is to put enough doubt in the minds of their enemies to slowdown the possible attack.

Its not a coincidence that the remaining members of the Axis of Evil ramped up their nuclear programs after Iraq. The idea of pre-emptive warfare has caused this to occur. MAD worked in the past and its the best we can hope for in the future.

I hate the idea of nuclear Iran, especially with unstable fanatics, but I think its an unfortunate eventuality.

There will be some sort of tactical strike in Iran to take out their nuclear capabilities. Let's hope the "shrinking violets" in Europe have the ***** to back us up on it this time!

Come to think of it, they're probably too consumed with figuring out how they're going to make it through their grueling 32-hour work week to worry about trivial things like nuclear anihilation.....
