Hey guys,

I plan on trying out the local legal 1/8th mile race track and all racers need to have a SNELL 95 rated or better helmet. Anyone know where I can buy one without breaking the bank? These things are big bucks everywhere I look!

You can take the visor off of a Snell approved dirt bike helmet.

HJC makes several Snell and DOT approved models starting at around $140.

MSR has models at about $90.

Fly has Snell and DOT approved models starting at $80 (The Fly 606).

You also might take a look at the Z1R helmets. I bought one in the $110 range. Not a bad helemt.
