I got a message yesterday when I signed on that asked if I wanted to change to the new live hotmail. I declined and still have the same old hotmail page

What is live hotmail?

I use hotmail as a junkmail address when I don't trust someone or a company...

Its a promotion of the new microsuck search engine. www.live.com As far search engines goes, its very very good. Better than yahoo, and I generally get more relavent results there than with google. But I'll stick with google since I'd rather punch myself in the ********* than support the microsuck machine (anymore than I already do that is, I mean I won't go and buy an apple)

That's abvious from what you would do to yourself. It would take a LOT for me to mangle my mojo.

I got an email from them about the new "Mail Beta", I didn't sign up so I still have the same old hotmail pages. From the sounds of it though, eventually they are going to switch all accounts over. Great, just when I get one version figured out they go and screw with it. When it comes to computers and software, I'm so far behind I think I'm first!!

Hey benny, ever use linux? Ubuntu linux is real good, simple to install, and free. They will even send you free install disks if you don't want to download it. I think they're out of south africa.

It's not a bad free alternative to microsuck winblows

I had friends that used linux years ago. I just remember there being little to no support, and very little software available for it. I'm not stupid and I'm sure I could learn how to use it, but I remember it being not very user friendly. I think I'll check it out though. Thanks.

I'm using Windows Mail Beta and freaking LOVE it. It's drag and drop and is basically like a 'live' version of Outlook (which I use regularly).

To each their own but, I'm BEYOND pleased with the new addition.

1) There are a LOT of linux distrobutions around the world. Most are free. Some are user friendly, some are not. I run Slackware right now, I've had SuSe going before and I plan to migrate to Gentoo next week.

2) Gmail
