Getting rid of my F-150?

Okay so a few of you know that I'd really love to get rid of my F-150 because of its history of certain problems. Maybe, Im too picky? Who knows? But, anyways. What do you think would be the best route to go, with losing the least amount of money possible. I know Im going to take a hit but whatever, this is driving me literally insane and Im going to have to pay for therapy if I don't get this situation fixed.

factery order your next truck, this will give you the time to reserch what you want and your not commiting a large sum of money up front...

I'm in the same boat, a lot will call me crazy cause I'm not towing the Ford line any more, but I lost big time when I bought out the lease on my 04 before it's qurks were aparent, Now I jumped ship and went to dodge...

It's up to you to decide if you want anothier Ford and your luck could improve, switching to anothier brand is trickey, I don't know if I have jumped out of the fire and into the frying pan with dodge, but sticking with Ford has goten rathier Hot for me...

Try anothier Ford dealer, if thier service department is good, they may be albe to sort out your issues and give you a deal on a new Ford..

Dodge gave me more For my F-150 than my Ford ealer and the Dodge ram 2500 slt was cheaper than the F-2150 5.4 XLT I was considering ....

The market is really rough for Ford now, and GM went backwards with thier trucks and to get a kick *** Ford, You have to go to a super duty..and no I'm not implying a daily routine of kicking your Ford, My dad F-350 power stroke larriet is a awsome truck...

I

I think these are looking about the best right now . .

- Sell it privately
- Take the stock rims and put some 35 BFG ATs on them, take everything else off, and than trade it in on something else.

Maybe, Im missing something else?

Why are you selling?

Either way you are going to lose your a$$. Especially with the mods youve done. Unfortunately, they dont add to the value.

Good luck. Sell it privately then buy something used. There is no reason to buy a new truck. My friends wifes sister bought a fully optioned lariat. It like like 47 grand. My 04 xlt 4x4 used was 19 and its the same truck minus a few looks good goodies.

Mine is going bye bye too. I just can't decide if I want a 07 f250 diesel or 07 escalade.

I wish I could move up to the 250s but they're way out of my price range. Im thinking another F-150 or a Tundra.

the easiest and quickest way to get rid of it is, to drive it into a bridge abutment at 55MPH.

Wait, what do you think about lemon law? Sure, I'll lose the money from the lift but I can just keep everything else and put it on a new F-150. My mom used to have a 300M that she had to lemon law and she was able to negotiate from paying the mileage charge so this is an option. What do you guys think? My truck has been in the shop 45-60 days with major defects such as drivetrain shake, steering nimble, transmission broke, transmission still delays going into reverse, motor sounds like a powerstroke, front end leaked, rear end leaked, rear end was replaced, wiper cowl replaced, 4wd broke and Im waiting on that to get fixed right now. I think I have a pretty good case. .

That's not acceptable from a truck but just out of curiousity do you use and abuse it or is it pampered?

Thump...you may want to look into trading up. You may be surprised what they give you for it. I thought I was gonna take a bath when I traded with all my problems. They paid it off and then some, so for me, that was a good enough deal. You have to look into the lemon law for Florida, but you might be out of the time limit your allowed to do it. And I dont suggest the BBB at all. It took me a year of fighting with them A-holes only to lose. Bite the bullitt and trade her in. Get an 06. Mine is so sweet

Cajunjosh...the 04 model is notorious for having major vibe issues. Do a search for Vibe and put my name or Thumpers in with the search and you will see.

Make the absolute best deal possible on a 2006 F-150.

Really, really try to come out of it with a new truck that you are in better financial shape with.

If you can't make a super deal (I mean a really great deal) then sell it outright, and stop the bleeding.

Good Luck.

Nah, don't take out a bridge! Find a very large Oak tree
