Ford sold 86,000 trucks in March

Was reading the paper today

Ford sold 86,400 truck units last month up 8.9% over last year.
Dodge sold 46,000 up 16%
Chebbie sold 16,000 down6.4%

Figures are from what I remember from this morning so could be a little off but Chevy was definately on the rear teat!

Thanks for posting.

Ford sold 70000 more than Chevy did.
I used to watch trucksales on PUTC but they don't list them anymore.
Is there a website where I can see trucksales for this year.

" Ford F-Series sets new modern monthly industry sales record for a single nameplate by any manufacturer, selling 126,905 trucks in July 2005 – more than any vehicle since the Model T in the 1920s."

Pretty cool stuff huh?

Good to hear they put up another MASSIVE month this year, looks like Ford will be riding on the shoulders of the F150 until they get the rest of the lineup in gear.

It would be interesting to see how many half ton trucks each sold. I'm not so sure Ford would have as big a lead.

Although Ford does not publish the sales numbers for F150/250/350 separately, history has shown about 2/3 of published F-Series sales are F-150's. Fleet sales are included, but I do not know that percentage.

if you added GM trucks and chevy trucks, Ford is not number one in sales For all thier F- trucks.
Marketing....
