Fan throws syringe at Bonds...

A fan tossed a syringe near Barry Bonds as he came off the field in between innings on Monday at Petco Park, and the San Francisco Giants slugger said he picked it up in his glove and carried it off the field.
Now this is completely uncalled for......I agree...the guy can be a jerk.....yes, he may have taken 'roids.....but so did most of baseball back then.....but to throw things at a player is UNCALLED for....I hope they catch the b@stard and ban him/her from ever attending another MLB game.....we don't need jack@ss's like that......

....Anyhow.....WHAT A GREAT OPENING DAY!

I would never personally do it but it does get the point across....Bonds, McGuire, and their ilk have really tarnished the game and if I saw Ruth or Aaron's records fall to him I'd be sick.

(I just read an article and apparently it had no needle...)

I agree with Wstahlm80 on this one. Regardless of whether he did or didn't use steriods or other drugs, this act was very uncalled for. What if there had been a needle in the syringe and it had poked Bonds or perhaps another player? What whould have happened if the syringe had been thrown out there after Bonds left the field and he had not removed it? A player from the other team could have chased a ball and either tripped over it or possibly poked with it if it had a needle in it.

I too hope the person is found and banned from all MLB games forever.

If that had happened they wouldn't ban the fan forever, they would put him in the rotation.

I heard the only reason Bonds picked it up is because he thought he'd dropped it.

It took Aaron years to get the home run record. He played forever. I don't think Bonds should get a dam thing, except shrunken *********

Um, I was there at the game, field level, 3rd base side... I never saw that happen. I'm going to raise the BS flag on this story.

It was middle of the eight inning as Bonds walked off field.
You have to remember that...

1. ESPN was broadcasting the game with their crew.
2. ESPN has a big show coming up, "Bonds on Bonds' or something like that.
3. This brings attention and jacks up the Ratings for the show
4. You didn't see it come out of the stands because an ESPN cameraman threw it when nobody was looking.

If i'm not mistaken Bonds has been playing since '87 I believe that's 19years. That's a pretty damn long time. You're all acting like Bonds hit 700 homeruns in 5 seasons.

I just have a hard time working up any sympathy for Bonds while he's making 22 million a year and I'm sitting here only making 11 million a year.

The goat business is that good Raoul? Or are you just that clever at passing bad checks?

What have goats got to do with bead bracelets?

I make 11 million bead bracelets a year, I read that Bonds makes 22 million a year.

I only sell about 200 bracelets a year though, I don't know how well he does.
