Poll Time
Lets take a poll
when you go to a concert or a show of any kind
in whatever size venue
do you like to stand for the whole thing or use the seat you paid 60$ for?
i just dont get it
where we were last night
standing was really not recomended because of the pitch in the theater
but someone always has to stand up like a jackass and make everybody else do the same thats behind them...
yeah mrs zap and myself got to stand AGAIN all friggin night
what is your vote?
stand or sit?
(your not any closer by standing)

Mostly sit, but it depends on the song. May want to get up and shake my tail a little.
But I don't do that unless the people behind me are standing.

Depends on the concert/environment.
Went to a Pearl Jam show in October '04, and stood the whole time, no problem because everyone was.
Went to Alison Krauss in December '05, and sat the whole time, because everyone else did.
The show really dictates the sit/stand mentality to me. Most shows I've been to had a good mix of sitting/standing. Some songs you just have to stand and boogie down, other songs are mellow and sitting is quite nice to enjoy the music.
Cliffs: Do what you want, but be courteous to those around you.

I always go to concerts at the Grizzly Rose....a large bar in Denver. Sure there are seats but I prefer to stand next to the stage. Major acts run $30.
Rarely, when I pay $60 for a large venue to see a legend; I sit most the time but stand lots too...sometime it depends on how close you're sitting and how much fun people around you are having.

Why didn't you?
Don't ever let someone disrespect your lady in front of you.
If I paid for a concert and it didn't move me enough to atleast stand up, I'd be dissapointed and want my money back. If I sit down for 15mins I'll likely go to sleep. Don't matter how loud it is, I can sleep right thru it if I get half way comfortable. Plus now with my RLS (restless leg syndrome), sitting for more than 30 mins in similar position (AKA a confined space with limited position options) is very, very, very, very uncomfortable and displeasing. It's a killer on road trips and I love road trips.
But I have never appreciated chair seating, I prefer festival seating anyday!
Jump up, jump around, throw your finger in the air like you just don't care!
I'm there for the atmosphere and the music. A symphony is not my style.

I don't go to concerts but if I did I would definitely prefer to sit. And I'd have no problem telling the idiot in front of me to sit their *** down too, I guess I'm just rude like that!
