I have a request.....

Let me know what the Gulf looks like while your down there, please.

I know that sounds retarded, but I have heard some stories, that the Texas coast line looks like doo-doo since Katrina hit New Orleans. I was thinking of taking the family down that way this summer.

Sweet. I checked out the pics from the link you posted, but sometimes those can be deceiving. If they are as good as the pictures, we will try and get a weekend there in a few months.

Finally got some of the pics from the two cameras we took down there. For jamzwayne; the cabin was very nice and roomy. It had a large bathroom, a/c, cable tv and a small kitchenette. The only bad part was the kictenette had no stove (my guess would be either insurance regulations or zoning regulations), it did have a microwave, coffee maker and refridgerator. They have 3 bbq grilles outside with a couple picknick tables but if you do use this place, it would be wise to bring an electric skillet or elec hot plates.

The area and the bays looked as beautiful as ever. The only difference I saw from the last time I was down there (about a year and a half ago), was a nice boom of house and condo building. Still has a small town feel, which imo, is awesome.

Now for a few pics:
