another Adventure...and I gotta leave this forum for a while

today was another extremely messed up day... more messed up then usual.

My Uncle asked me if I can work for him today to pour a Basement with Cement. I help him occasionally which I like to do, so I pick him up in the morning with my Mounty. As I was driving to the job, it was my fault I didn't want to wait for a Yellow light to turn red, so I punched it a little bit to make it through. What do ya know.. Red and Blue lights are behind me. I pull over, cop gives me a ticket for running a red light.

So now I'm on my way home from work driving my Uncle back to his house. The Mountaineer was acting up. Kept stuttering very bad, even my Uncle said he feels it kicking. No check engine light was on or anything so I didn't know what to think of it. The second I pull out of his driveway, Check engine light comes on and th SUV is misfiring like crazy. Call the dealer up right away, they asked me to bring it in tomorrow morning. So I said fine.

I get a call going home from a Company I've been trying to get with now for about 8 months trying to get a job, and he calls me into work starting tomorrow now!! Problem is, My Mountaineer will not be able to make the 50 mile trip to work. So I call up the dealer again, tell them I need a rental as I just got called into work and I can't take this Mountaineer out there the way its running. They worked with me good, gave me a Sable to drive around.

So pretty much, I won't be on here hardly anymore due to starting up work. I won't be leaving this forum, just won't have much time at all So You guys behave urself and I'll try to keep in contact!

You admit you ran the red then cry about the ticket. Boo-hoo.

Your 'mounty' is a pile, boo-hoo.

Basement is not capitalized unless at the beginning of a sentance (like this one). Same goes for cement. And was it really called for to point out your pouring a foundation with cement? What did you think we thought you used... taffy? Wet sand? Molten lava? Seriously...

I bet it was thw pure anti freeze that caused the engine to miss. It prolly caused you to want to accelerate when you shoud have been stopping at the light.

I hate to say it, but I think Tritoneer is the lesser of the two evils.

I think Mattineer is better as well. Matt is very entertaining and Dzervit is better at being the 'bitter poster' than I. Yet again I find myself a shadow.

And for the record, if you pour a foundation with cement, I wouldn't count on it lasting long! Last time I checked, concrete was the material of choice.

Just a casual observation from a civil eng. annoyed by the never ending confusion between concrete and cement.
