Went Muddin this weekend

So I went to the local offroad park this weekend for some serious muddin. The snow last week made things really really wet.

There's a couple more pics in my gallery..hopefully I'll add more tonight.

I think we all got stuck at least once....6 vehicles I think.

I got real stuck in one bog; you can see my tire in one of my photos.. We tried to winch me out with a 98 F150 but the winch wasn't strong enough...not sure if it was 9K or 12K lbs. Fortunately the park operator has a F350 Super Duty 4x4 that pulled me out like it was nothing. Got stuck one other time as well; you can see a full truck shot (articulated) in my gallery. Took a little help there from a Bronco.

At one point my coolant boiled over and spilled out. I lost the power steering cap as well.

Yea I saw the pics...I would have been shocked if you weren't stuck in that one picture...

"If you aint been stuck than you ain't been muddin", Right?

Problem is so far I've never been stuck...I've been on trails but the mud holes arent that deep. Of course if I got stuck on some of those mountain trails the only thing pulling me out are a bunch of ATVs or another pickup truck coming down the trail in the opposite direction...

BTW....do you have non-lifted, essentially stock trucks making those runs or is everyone basically lifted? My truck is still basically stock, Im just curious how it would do in comparison to what your 6 trucks did.

Well the least mods were; I'm guessing; on the 2000 Explorer w/ 32" tires.. I have a 3" body lift and I've hacked the sheet metal a bit on the bed. Most everyone else had 36" or bigger tires.

Well than I'm sure my truck would have gotten and stayed stuck...probably more trouble than its worth to tackle something that deep....guess I'll stick to trails and small mud pits.

UC, who is that nerd standing next to your truck. You should be more careful when you take a pic and keep the nerds away from it.

1. It's my mud flaps...need to get the plyers out and rip those suckers out of the way
2. Of course it's the woman; you dont think I'd date someone who's afraid of the trail do you?
