I don't know how often they hire, but Savannah just closed for applications on March 3...

I've always liked the Savannah area... but we'll see what becomes of me in the next few years. I'm looking to end up way out west or somewhere down south (GA, NC, SC, FL, maybe MD...) after I'm through and bored with Pittsburgh (and I get my damn nursing degree) in about two years from next month (or a year and a half, if I apply myself, not happening).

You should try Jacksonville Fire... the city/downtown area it self is kind of a hole, but the areas surrounding it are decently nice, and it isnt that far from GA. I believe they have open applications.

A good friend of mine from home just got hired with the City of Miami and started his academy this week... I'm horrendously jealous of him

I'm waiting to hear back from Seattle Fire to see if I move on to the interviews next month.
