Computer gurus...need your opinion please

Sorry in advance for the long post, I just want to make sure I explain the problem as best as I can. For about a few months now I have been noticing that certain times when I try to read the forums that certain pages won't load all the way. Pics, sigs, smileys, and even the QUOTE button would be missing. Makes it hard at times to follow a joke in a thread when I can't see all the pics, or like in other forums I would miss something because I can't see a pic posted. This only happens on my home PC. At work I have zero problems loading the pages all the way. Both work and home PC run Windows XP Pro and IE whatever the latest version is out now.

Fast forward to last week I think I finally figured out the cause. A certain member's sig is the best explanation I can come up with. Anytime I view a thread where this member has not posted I have zero problems loading the whole page. Whenever I view a thread where this member has posted is when I get the problem of pages not loading all the way. Is it possible that something in my home PC is screwed up that maybe the hosting of this member's sig, or maybe the size of the sig itself is causing it? I know next to nothing as far as this stuff goes and just thought I could get some opinions here. I don't think it is the size of the sig though because other members' sigs that are way bigger I have no problem seeing, provided the sig in question from this member is not on the page I am viewing.

Not looking to ruffle any feathers, just want an opinion as to why my PC is acting this way. Thanks so much in advance and sorry again for the long post.

1) Your internetspeed at work may be a lot faster than at home and thus no problems loading huge images

2)To determine if the problem is caused by a sig, turn off those sigs.

Go to your UserCP
Edit Options
Scroll down to Thread Display Options
Uncheck Signatures
Save

Now load those pages giving problems again.
Sigs are not displayed this time.
So if it loads fast, it was a sig.

Right click on that users sig image, choose properties and see how big it is.

You might have a cached copy of the picture in that sig that is maybe corrupted. Try emptying your Intenet cache files.
