375 degree peanut oil..

and my chin dont mix

just checkin on the chicken

smells wonderful

but the breast slipped off the tongs and went plunk!
3 spots the size of dimes got me
2 on top 1 underneeth

looks like no shaving for awhile

oh well

we have a saying in welding

"its not when you get burned but where and how bad"
now we need one for deepfrying

When I was a boy, 5 or 6 years old, I burned my arm on the heating element of a stove top. Strangely, I haven't been burned since. Well, not while cooking. I got my leg on the sidepipes of a pickup truck, back when they were a popular add-on. It did smell like bacon though.

 

mrs zap back in '95 tripped and landed right arm first into a bonfire we had going out back by the beach..

i was in the house and a friend told me

when she came to the back door i grabbed her by the burnt arm and the shirtsleeve and alot of skin came off in my hand..
worse than a horror movie

but the doctors said it was the best thing that could happen
kept alot of bacteria away

it took a couple of months of hospital trips every other day but all worked out good

if you dont go looking you'd never know anything happend
and for that i'm greatful

I know what you mean by getting burned when welding. I've got welding 3 periods a day and I get burnt all the time. Especially when welding overhead or verticle MIG. Damnit it hurts when it gets in you hair and burns your scalp.

When I was about 3 dad was burning trash in a burn barrel. I wanted to see what was going on so I walked up, grapped ahold of the lip to pull mself up and burnt every finger on both hands. Worst part was mom and dad had bought me a cork gun that day. Have you ever tried to shoot a cork gun with 2" of gauze wrapped around your hands?
