Yes, he was stuck in the mud from the waist up,
and true he had no other warrants against him, puzzling the authorites as to why he eluded them for just an expired registration.

Poor guy thought he was a wanted man. That's why he ran him being a parolee and all. Hell, he ran through 700 yards of freshly plowed land that received 6 inches of rain less than a week ago. I think he forgot it'd be muddy. Imagine running through mud for that long. He deserved it for being a dipshi+.
