Talking Turkey season is near.

I can't wait! I want to get me a 25 lbs bird on opening day. Good Luck to the turkey hunters.

April 10th, 125 acres of private timber bordering the Des Moines River, and my ever faithful Black Bear. Heh, this is the year, it has to be, I'm getting too old for this crap

6 to be exact in this state, 4 in the spring, two in the fall. Falls best because they have seperate seasons for bow and gun. There seem to be a lot of idiots out there lately shooting themselves and anything that moves so it's nice to be able to have at least one shot at a bird where you don't have to worry about someone shooting you.

The nice thing about spring licenses are that bow only are valid for all 4 seasons and no quotas, gun/bow make you pick one of four seasons and quotas are in effect in some of the better public spots.
