What about Favorite Movie?
Another impossible question. I like so many different movies for so many different reasons.
So like LT's thread, I'll give you the first one that came to mind when I opened this thread: "The Sound Of Music"
Again, I do not claim this is my all time favorite but it is on the list!

I have a hard time deciding really..
I really like Underworld though. I'm a big fan of the Lord of the Rings series. But I'll go more obscure and say "transformers - the movie" Ahhh, brings back memories of my youth!

For me, I would define 'Favorite Movie' as when you are flipping through the remote and the movie pops up and you watch it again regardless of how many times you've see it before, it supersedes whatever else is on.
Offhand, I can think of two movies that do this to me everytime:
'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'
'Planes Trains and Automobiles' the unedited version for the car rental counter scene.

Recent westerns that I've loved were Unforgiven and Open Range
