Birthday Question

Here is the question. Lets say your birthday is May 2, 1985. So you would be 20 years old today. You are in a Las Vegas casino the day before your birthday- May 1, 2006.

Can you legally gamble and Drink?

Are you considered 21 on this day even though your birthday is the next day?

This question came up the other day and some people were saying that you are actually legal to gamble and drink the day before your birthday since you are 20 years and 365 days old. I don't think thats correct but I haven't been able to find anything to proove this.

What do you guys think? Are you legal or not the day before your 21st birthday?

Legal or not the casino will say no until your ID says 21 years ago. They arent going to risk getting in trouble or having to prove that you were legal on a technacility in court just so you can gamble on day earlier.

My mother, the attorney, once told me that if your b-day was the 2nd of May that the 1st of May was the last day of your 21st year...so your birthday would be the first day of your 22nd year...but as far as driving/voting/drafting/drinking age you are considered legal after you "complete" your driving/voting/drafting/drinking age...so at 1 minute past midnight you are legally legal...your time of birth really has nothing to do with your legal age. YMMV

Thanks 26point2 thats what I was looking for.

So you wouldn't be able to gamble untill 12:01 am the day you were born on. Thats what I thought but I couldnt convince a few other people.

Ok I hope this works.

I took this picture the first day I brought it home.

Since then I have put a new exhaust system and airfilter on, and changed the jets. What a difference that made. It was fast right out of the box, but now it flies.

Almost 6 years ago when I was turning 21, it was going to be on a sunday. So all day saturday I tried to get served at various establishments around Charlestown, SC and got turned down. They all told me to come back after midnight, that is except one. The bouncer was not going to let me in, but the manager/owner happened to be standing right there. He ended up letting me in and buying me a couple drinks for my 21st. It was probably illegal, but I didn't care at the time. Good luck, but you'll probably have to wait till midnight.

My best friend has a YFZ 450 and a Raptor 660.He says it's the best of both worlds. I would show you some pics but he hasn't got the 450 out of winter storage yet. It's being stored in another friends barn.He does have his Raptor at his house along with his daughters 80 mini Raptor.I'll get a pic when he gets the 450 back home.

I want one so bad... but I don't want the payments and can't aford to pay cash right now, unless it's less than $500. If it's that cheap I don't care what it is, how nice it looks, or how well it works, as long is it will eventually start, 2wd or 4wd, sport or utility.
Brakes, pshh who needs em,
Starter, pshhh I can roll start it.
Plastic broke or gone, pshhh it don't make it run any better.
So I've got my eyes open, but I'm not to hopeful this year.

Yeah, I was in the same boat, I bought this for $500, and a $300 clutch later I was in business. The guy I bought it from told me the tranny was all stripped out, which is why it wouldn't go. Well, I pulled the oil plug and there was absolutely no metal in the case at all. Nope, not the tranny... So I talked him down from the $800 he was asking (after all, it does need a new tranny) and dropped him $500 on the spot. Got it home, replaced the clutch, and 2 years later not a problem with it. Normally, I wouldn't have taken advantage of anyone like that, but I worked with this guy, and he was an a-hole, as big as they can grow them...

You didn't take advantage of him, he assumed it was more than he wanted to mess with. If he wanted to know then he should have tore into it or taken it to a shop to be checked out. Since it was more speculation then it could have turned out to be the tranny. If there was nothing in the oil then not likely... but still it could have been. Apperanlty he as done with it anyway.
Now if Only I can find something like that.
