The American Inventor (anyone watching it??)
I agree RP.
I only caught the last 30 mins of it. 10 of that was an infomercial about the one judges ranch. I would have liked to of seen more submissions and show more about how they work, how they thought of it, etc. Vs the celebrations and disappointments.

Edit: I have no intention of watching this show.

One would have thought that when they registered thier tower they would have changed it anyway. I think it's just for the FCC's file system. Since I had to take the broadcasting test while working at a local radio station for Pearson Broadcasting Group, (before they sold). That is really the only thing that I can remember from the entire test.

The way I remebered the answer for the test:
One I knew that all our radio stations including the one I worked for were K.
Two I remembered when I was a kid, then WKRP was in Cincinati. (Who says television sitcoms aren't good for anything.) So during the whole test I had the theme song for WKRP in my head. LOL

He also talks about another new show, thats supposed to be close to a mix of Idol and The Gong show. I think I'd like that, since the gong show was only the best game show ever invented, although The price is right and Jepordy are right up there.

Another Gong Show would be hilarious.
Yeah.. that kid with the Dog Car A/C definately should have made it... WTF is up with the judge in the green... what a jerk.. laughing and joking with the kid playing it up.. really building the kid up then BAM he's like "I'm going to treat you like I'd want to be treated at your age" "NO, it's not good enough" what a freaking jerk... I think with a little refinment that little gadget would make brazillions... I'd buy one hell... put in in the dog house or something for texas summers when the pups are outside... Either way I'd like to jamzwayne some sense into that guys head just for messing with the kids emotions...

I watched hour 1 over lunch. This show is funny as all getout. I agree with Rockpick though; too much drama; record it and watch it at your own pace. I'll continue to watch this show but only for the humor. I'd like to know why the judges get so emotional after meeting someone for 2 minutes.
That kid's canine A/C would have sold like hotcakes to the dog crowd.
I bumped into a gal at the dealership a few weeks ago that was there to pick up the floor mats for her new SUV that she purchased earlier in the week. She purchased it so that when she goes to the dog shows with her dogs that she can stop at rest areas and restaurants and leave the vehicle running with the AC on but lock the doors (remote entry and key pad). Now if a dog person will buy a brand new vehicle strictly for that feature.. how many people out there would buy one of those gizmos?
How about them ripping into the psychologist with the inflatable child incarceration device?

couple of problem with the kids idea.
#1, some idiot would buy it and leave a baby or a kid in the car, thinking it would work.
#2 on a 100 deg day, with fans the car is still 100 deg. dont leave dogs in a car on a hot day, just looking for a broken heart.
#3 could you imagine the liabilty of such a product.
kid was smart, but the product had major flaws that could not be over came.
i thought the shovel was cool, i could see hugh government purchase for this product. the lady with the decorating globes will make a fortune, my wife and kids love junk like that around any holiday.
