Harley Davidson Motorcyles
funny, someone earlier mentioned that the only harley they liked was the v-rod.
thats the only harley i would not want to own.
BigBlackFX4 summed it up perfectly. i loved my kawasaki gpz550, and i love my 883 sportster.
i never bashed harleys when i rode my kawasaki, and i'll never bash the non-american bikes while i ride my harley. funny thing is alot of the people doing the bashing (and i am not just talking about this thread) only have experienced riding either japanese bikes, or harleys, not both.
lovetrucks, thanks for the compliment. i have put on a passenger seat with lower sissy-bar, changed the running lights and headlight a bit. also looking to play with the exhaust over the summer if all goes according to plan.

Up until last year I had a Yamaha R6 sitting right next to it in the garage. I have ridden crotch rockets for ten years and the Harley for 5. I love them all for what they are. They are just meant for different purposes. Now there is a KX 250F keeping the Harley company.
I can't stand when people bash Harley or any other brand. If you like bikes, you like them all. If you don't like a certain kind you most likely haven't tried it or can't afford it.

I would post pics of our bikes, but I can't seem to make them large enough. They only show as teensey weensey thumbnails.
Any experts there who can help me post pics of viewable size from my gallery?

It's more cosmetic damage than anything else, other than it dropped a con-rod bearing.

northernnorm,
i can barely post my own pictures here, but this worked for me. open up the picture you want to show to its full size, then right click on the photo to get the 'properties' to open up. that shows the link i use to show a full size shot in the post.
you have some nice shots in your harley gallery.

Sick is not the word for this bike. I rode one in Daytona during Bike Week. Many of the vendors provide free demo rides all week. It pulls a ton and has a very comfortable riding position. It has a fat 240 rear tire, with 120 hp you neeed it. Even with stock exhaust, it sounds like a hot rod at idle.
Another awsome ride that's affordable is Honda's 1800 VTX.
