I want to kill someone also. The damage in that picture was repaired about 2 weeks ago. I went to the auto hobby shop to change my oil today. I was watching the idiot guiding me onto the lift. Well, he wasn't paying attention very well. The front drivers side wheel went off the lift. Now I have a nice dent in the door and behind it along with scratches all over. The painted part of the mirror also got scratched which was one of the things that just got painted.

 

Well, now that I've cooled off (so have my tires ), it's just clear coat damage. Not that it's much consolation, my blood is still boiling. And, yeah, it probably was a CU or KSU fan.

That really sucks.I hate scumbags that don't have any respect for other peoples stuff.He probably never worked a day in his life. My truck only has 101 miles and if it happened to my truck and I found out who did it I'd probably go to jail.

Yup, it sucks. It's happened to me and at the time I was of the opinion that the appropriate payback was to draw and quarter, so I can understand your immediate response.

However, there is a bright side so you need to look at the "positive" aspect.

At least they were considerate enough to only do the tail gate door (assuming the pic you sent was all the damage). If it wasn't just something that could be buffed out, and if it needs repainting you only have to remove the door (or it might even be cheaper to just replace it). With the breaks around the edges and it's location you don't need to worry about exact match, or lose use of your vehicle while it's being redone.

I had silver and they did the front fender and a little into the door. Evidently Silver is a pain in the butt to match and requires a large area to blend so it required them painting a larger area than the damaged area. (At least that's what they told me).

So look at the bright side . . . it could be worse.

In the mean time we can only hope the perpetrator contracts the bird-flu.

The only good point is that you did not catch them doing it and end up in jail for what we here would see as justifiable homocide. They got me with my 05 with less than 10k on it and did the whole passanger side, all the way to the metal....I would have ended up in jail for sure.
