Go ManGo

Well, I mentioned it in my GN thread, but figured I'd go ahead and post a pic, since I'm so excited I probably won't sleep tonight or tomorrow night...

This is one of the access plates for the cam bolts on my Belvedere. It used to be dark brown. Saturday morning he will start painting the car... !!!

I've got all the front suspension powder coated, and just finished the first coat of POR-15 on the K-frame. I'll be adding a black POR-15 top coat called Blackcoat.

I'm also going to look this weekend at a '67 Belvedere II 2dr hardtop. Basically the same car in a hardtop. I'm thinking about making it my daily driver, and selling the Mustang. The Camino I was going to make a daily driver needs too much work. Dad has offered to let me have his '77 back to drive for as long as I need it if I don't buy this other Belvedere. So, either way looks like the Stang will be going on ebay in a few weeks... I hate to see her go, but I really want to work on my convertible more...

BTW, the photo just really doesn't do it justice. It kinda looks too red in the picture. Also, he will be smoothing and repainting this plate. He just wanting to get some color on something so I could make certain it was what I wanted before he painted the car...

That color reminds me of project Copperhead.

It's a sweet color and a picture or video is not going to do a metallic justice.

But is this one closer to original color?

When you say "original" are you referring to the actual paint on the part? the original color of the car? or the original early 70's Go ManGo/Vitamin C?

The pic is "close", but a little more red, the car was originally brown, and the first Go Mango was more orange, and I don't think was much if any metal flake to it...

BTW, I just got the call. I'll be picking her up tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
