Amazing Flying

Just 1 inch too low and it's splash. Not sure even the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds could do this.

Not that they would be stupid enough to try.

I'd like to see them try that on a windy day when the water is choppy. I bet they will think twice about doing something that stupid.

I'm with Kobi....foolish. BUT, I am pretty sure the Blue Angels could do that. I just seriously doubt they would do such a silly stunt. IMO

The Blue Angels are awesome pilots.

[edit]

Thanks for sharing though kingfish.

My dad was restoring one when he died, we've been card carrying members of the EAA and the CAF forever, there never was any room in the garage for the cars, always had a plane in their instead.

I can make someone a heck of a deal on a Piper Colt by the way, some assembly required

Me too.

Funny how some of you think this water stunt is stupid, but flying jet fighters next to each other at 650mph with only 6"-24" between wing tips (Blue Angels) is any less crazy.

Very nice! What makes that stunt even more difficult is the low wing configuration. It would be a little easier to do with a high wing aircraft. At least you could see the wheels better

About 20 years ago the USAF Thunderbirds were training in the Nevada desert and a flight of 5 were flying inverted close to the ground. Everyone keys on the Leader. The leader pulled up and all 5 flew into the ground at about 500 knots. No survivors.

1982, but 4 died, they also dropped the Talons after that one and went to the F16s.

I have a bunch of photos from their show at reno in 03, got to take a tour through Fat Albert, that was pretty cool.

I thought Fat Albert was the name of the Blue Angels C-130. (Blue Angels = F18, Thunderbirds = F16)

It is, I had a brain fart. The Angels were in Reno, the Thunderbirds I saw at Dayton.
