Rodger....

I'm going over to the mac store....I'm still leaning toward the mini with the wireless built in. This past weekend was just too crazy.

I'm definitely getting one though....I'll probably go this weekend....providing I dont have plans that my wife hasnt told me about yet.

I've given up on the ebay/classified route....the mini is just too enticing.

Over...

Copy that Vader. I would suggest you give thought to whether you should go with the motorola chipped or the newly introduced (newly introduced as in about half an hour ago) intel chipped versions. Newer versions more expensive and, although lots faster with programs written for the intel chip are slower for none native software running in emulation. If you have questions, ask.

Over.

See my day is getting better....

I do side work...a lot of side work....and I've had to turn down too much work because I do not know Macintosh. I'm getting a Mac to learn the OS and other basics.

Vader, that is not oxygen you are breathing it is smog. In 1986, I bought one of the early Mac Pluses. That thing was still going stron in 2000 when I gave it away. My new tax program would no longer fit on it. I loved that ugly, whirring, cumbersome machine. The printer was still good as well.

"Amazerizing" is just a fun "word" to use.

But seriously, I played with a mini-mac in the university book store, those things are small & it had quite a bit of power. Decent processor speed, decent amount of RAM & harddrive space. All very nicely tucked into a sleek SMALL box the size of my old portable cdplayer.
All props to Kobi on that one...I had no idea they even existed....I was just mentioning how I wanted a cheap mac to play around with....this is even better because it uses my PC monitor, keyboard, etc.
