Comcast is a money grubbin' *****. They essentially have the monopoly in my area, $60/month just for high-speed internet. That is also part of the reason I am picking up the free waves for TV. But hey, it gets me 24, The Office, and My Name is Earl.

I could spring for satellite, I'm too cheap.

Yeah...I could get by with just the free waves....but I want to watch the WBC and the weekday Cardinal games....which are only on ESPN and FSN.....which unfortunately ain't free.....but I tried to justify the $50/mo by saying that I would save money in the long run buy staying home and watching the games instead of heading to the bar and paying $5/beer + food......

Why not try satellite? I have Directv on 5 tv's, of which 1 is HD, and 1 tivo, with my locals, package called total choice premier w/locals, for about $65 a month. I think it has a better picture, and sound at least in my area, and better service, I hate comcast.

I have Comcast right now, but they suck on prices. Pay 70 bucks for the T.v's a month, plus 40 bucks PER computer to have hooked up! we have 2 computer at a price of 80 bucks a month just to get online!

Before comcast I had *** cable and only paid 20 bucks per computer.

I have Comcast Internet and TV; I think I pay $90? *grumble*
I'd get Sattelite (I'd love CMT) but then I'd have to get a land line for phone and a DSL so I'm at break even with a big dish on the side of the house.

I was thinking the same thing.....

...Mountainqueer....you NEVER tell them you have other computers in the house....you just have them hook up the ONE modem...then when they leave....you attach a router.........from which you can attach as many computers as you want to the ONE connection...............

................oh my side.....
