Homeowners Association wont allow trucks!

They probably wouldn't have beef against an SUV, because they are, for the most part, classier vehicles than pick-ups...
Yeah-yeah, I know "class" is subjective, but you got to admit, a stock Tahoe sitting on the street would be easier to overlook than an F-250 Crew cab 4 x 4 with a 8" lift, muddy, with 325/65/20" Nitto Terra-Grapplers stuffed under it...
I'm sure they'd make a similiar complaint about a mud-coated Jeep Grand Cherokee too...
A girl who used to work for me, bought a house in a town called "Little Elm, TX" She was in a homeowners association, and YES, they can tell you how long your grass can be...
She was mowing her yard twice a week to keep the neighbors off her ****.
They threatened to have it mown for her, and charge her for it... Wehn you come into far North Dallas (North of Trinity Mills) and on into McKinney; these people don't play when it comes to lawn maintenance... Everyone's yard is neatly manicured, edged, and weeded...
I had to fire my lawn guy last year, and before I got another one, my grass had gotten thick. I had a few if those ultra-thin weeds that sprung up. I got a warning from the city, threatening to fine me $150.00 for an ordanance violation of having grass and health safety violation, by having weeds more than 8" tall...
I cut my own grass that week, but- I wasn't mad at them...

I knew a guy who built a nice looking brick planter in his front yard...it violoated some rule on a technicality...(yes he was technically wrong but it was quite nice). They made him take it down. He put up a technically legal planter....turns out it was a white toilet. Good for him.

if the word is "truck" then use the CAFE definitions... so every vehicle classed as a truck by CAFE
PT Cruiser
Freestyle
Pacifica
Outback
etc
And then you can complain that those are trucks too so technically shouldnt be allowed.

Well, they's "If" the wording says "truck".
As long as they say "Pick-up truck", then they're good to go.
Park it in your garage, in your driveway, move, or get rid of it!

You gotta admit, that's some funny Chit, especially for you guys whose garage is so small, your truck won't fit in it; or, for those who'll let a $30,000 truck sit outside, while their garage is packed full of worthless chit...
Gotta get your priorities straight...

In 1999, I didn't appreciate the treatment I received from them. The salesman and the finance MGR were acting like I wasn't worth their time, as if I couldn't afford their precious F-150... The trutch was, I wasn't goign to let them steal my Maxima from me, and have me rolling 6K in negative equity into a 1999 SuperCab XLT. So, without explanation, I got up and walked out. Before I got the car in gear, another MGR came out and asked what the problem was, what could he do to earn my business... I was leary about trading my Nissan for a Ford anyway; at least make the buyign process pleasant... I told him they could learn how to treat people, and I left.
I drove right over to Baillargeon Ford (Now North Central Ford) in Richardson. I got the same truck, same equipment, but this one had Captain's chairs, rather than the flip down console, same Amazon Green... They gave me $3,500 more for my trade, and lowered the truck by $1,000. I rolled $1,500 NE into the truck, and picked up my new 1999 F-150 SuperCab XLT, in Amazon Green Metallic... I vowed NEVER to buy from Middlekauf... Everyone I met, I told them how jacked-up service was at Middlekauf, and sent them to North Central/Baillargeon.
Well, Middlekauf was the only dealer up here running that special this weekend, and my wife wanted to go. This was the 2nd best new car buying experience I have ever had, 2nd only to the process of buying my new MDX... So, for all my years of disdain towards Middlekauf; I must admit, on the one chance we gave them to redeem themselves, they REALLY stepped up to the plate, and made the process enjoyable...

And all the wives will be driving mini-vans.
