New 2006 F-150 SuperCrew

Well, we went and done it...

My wife talked me into going and checking out the validity of the add that says (Get an F-150 SuperCrew and a Ford Fusion SE for $499 a month)...

I thought it was Bullsiht, and it was, to an extent- we over shot $499 quite a bit; but still came under the wire for what we were paying for the 2001 Screw and the 2002 Civic.

It's dark now, and we couldn't get the Fusion tonight; the detailers were gone, and it still had shrink wrap on it;s hood and various panels... We'll get the full delivery Monday evening on both.

So, with a fond farewell, we say goodbye to the 2001 SuperCrew... We'll miss you, "Blondie"...
--------------------------------------

New Car: Tungsten Silver 2006 Fusion SE.
Loaded, relatively speaking... As I said in my review, very nice car...

New Truck.
Dark Shadow Grey, 4.6L XLT, no floor shifter , but a damn-good payment. 6-disc in dash, step rails, power driver's seat, it's a dark grey, damn near black...

We're back where we started, with an XLT... When I'm done, she'll turn heads again...

To come: Speed-grill, 20's w/ 285/50/20 tires, painted tonneau, Borla cat-back dual exhaust, w/side exit, tint...

I still say the 1997-2003 is prettier; but, I can get used to this one too... Oh well, in my quest for us not to purchase new vehicles... I lost...

I may trade my 2003 Expy and pick up a new GX 470... I'll keep you posted...

I tried to snap one with my new fangled camera, but I guess my flash simply can't handle night time photography..,

Wife works sun-up to sundown, so I won't see it in the daytime again until Monday...

Congrats BIGHERSH!

I was at a car show last night sitting in a couple Fusions Ford had on display and just kinda stood by the cars to hear peoples reactions to that car. People love that car, both inside and out! I never heard one person when I was there talk down on the Fuison. There great cars and I hope you enjoy them!

we need pics though when you get them!

If there's any daylight at all when the wife gets home from work, I'll snap some tonight...

It's really her truck; I just get to fix it up!

I'll be driving it mostly; unless I get the MDX!

I can't have a stock F-150 in my garage!!! Not for long..

WOW 2 new cars???
I need your job!

CONGRATULATIONS!

I have yet to date buy a brand new car, if I have my way about it I never will. Unless for some reason I can get a new one that I want for the same money as a used one I want.

Thanks CEHoward!

It's Dark Shadow grey...

The cloth in this thing feels funny, but the seats, overall, look and feel quite nice... Is it me, or is the interior larger than the 2001-2003 Supercrew? She said it seems like it had more room in the back seat too. I dunno, it may just feel that way to me now because it's different..

Wifey's a little pissed that the XLT we got, didn't come with the power-adjustable pedals... She almost axed the whole deal because of that; but, when she realized that I'd be the one driving it 90% of the time, she realized it wasn't that important...

Yeah, we skipped the 5.4L we don't tow, and rarely haul ***, and with gas being what it is, I'll keep the 4.6L tradition going with us... This will be our 3rd F-150, and 5th Ford truck (Counting the two Expy's) and only the 2003 Expy has the 5.4L, that SOB is quite thirsty, so she's parked 80% of the time...

Cool man, and I think the power adjust pedals is an option. XLT is hot too, that's what I got!! If you are not towing, the 4.6L is more than enough. In fact, my best friend told me that is all I needed to tow my under 3000 lbs. IMO, all the V8s are thirsty, but they pull good..

what size wheels, 17,18, chrome?
