Printer help???

One of the salesmen here is having trouble printing. He's using his Vaio laptop with Win 2000 Pro.

I had the network printer setup on his laptop, and until last week he was able to use it. Well, I checked it this morning and everything is setup correctly still, but he just gets a popup saying an error has occured while trying to print, nothing more.

So, I setup a spare HP 450 on it for now. Since he doesn't have that laptop here all the time, and doesn't print much. Well, he printed two pages, and got the following error message:

My networking skills seem to be getting worse each day. So, can anyone help me diagnose this...?

well he probably net lost his mapping for lpt1

you can go to a command prompt and type net use to see the state of the connection. Personally I'd just print to the unc name directly
