Oh, not really saying anything... just that if a flat cam is the only problem I should be able to get the Camino up and running soon, and hopefully have the bugs worked out before too long. I think it will make a nice daily driver. If I sell my current daily driver (which I don't really want to, but feel it is in my best interests to do so) I will have more money available to work on the Camino AND Belvedere...

BTW, my buddy has the cash, and will be buying the Brown Beast this weekend. I kinda got attached the old thing, almost hate to see it go. He was just going to part it out, and park the frame and cab in his Dad's barn, but I think he's going to keep it as a spare vehicle, and for hauling things he doesn't want in his '78, which is a really sweet truck. I need to get some pix of it on here...

BTW, jamzwayne don't get too excited about this one. It's pretty rough. Well, the body is straight, but quite rusty. It looks just like the one I had before, but 2 tone tan instead. I've been thinking about going all black with some modern wheels, and a '73 or '74 Laguna front end or at least base model single round headlights...

This was the '77 I had... Dad has it now...

Sissy.

I did it before, and it was funny.

Ok, I gotta know. I have a burr and it is nearly bald. How short is nearly bold?

Nice. I had a 77 Classic once. That lil bugger would get it. That one LOOKS like it's in pretty good shape.

It is! I had the back window pulled, and a new channel welded in place, new floor pans welded in (pretty much the only rust we could find). It also got repainted in the same paint scheme. I then put down RAAMmat sound deadener on the entire floor even inside the smugglers compartment. I added ceramic coated headers, a Peformer intake and carb, and Dad added a 700-R4. A/C blows cold. Dad has since put on a black grill, but has yet to fix the factory cruise control. Just needs new vacuum lines...

It's currently got the split bench from an '80's model Camino that just doesn't fit quite right. Dad has a recovered tan bench or tan swivels and console. Whichever he doesn't use will be going in my '76. He also has an almost complete black swivel interior with console that I will most likely buy off him if I paint the '76 black...

I'm not sure why, but Dad and I both have always had a thing for Caminos. I guess it's because they handle like a car, and can be made to haul ***... both versions... We both love the '73-'77 but his favorite is the '70 and mine is '71. I hope to someday have another '71. I kick myself everytime I think about the one I sold...
