Every JR I have ever met has been wound so tight that I feel like reaching for my 20-gauge pheasant gun after about 15 minutes with them!

Good luck with yours!

Well, my wife had a fit for this little fella (Designer Dog) as they're called now... This is a Pinoodle... (A miniature poodle mixed

He's so young, we still have to bottle feed him...

He's a cutie though, and growing like a weed!

he's confined to the kitchen floor for now. when he can jump over the barrier then he'll have the run of the house. but he does pertty good with going outside.

he's in a biting phase (i hope its only a phase) where he just attacks everything. he's fun though.

Just another month or two and it'll be warm enough for me to get a pooch. Waiting for warmth so I can keep it outside when necessary while it's house-trained.

I have had many dogs over my life time, sometimes two at a time. Not a one was a bad dog and most had some exceptional quality about them and all were intelligent. But, I have never had a dog that is such an integral part of my wife's and my life as the Rat Terrier we have.

It is honestly like she thinks as a person. Her intelligence is displayed daily and if I tried to tell people the things she does, they would not believe it. An example, she learns a word the first time we use it. She nearly always comprehends everything my wife or I say. She takes a lot of our time and demands attention. It would be sad if she lived with someone that did not have the time or willingness to give her the attention she needs.

She is the happiest dog I have ever had and lets us know constantly that she is happy. Very rewarding. When she is scolded, it is painful to watch her reaction but it is part of the training. I look forward to going home every day just for the greeting she gives me. If I do not get home by 5:35, she starts pacing and looking at my wife. If I am not there by 5:45, she barks at my wife and gets very angry acting.

She is lots of work and takes up a lot of our time, but she has added so much to our lives, my wife and I both give thanks in our prayers for the happiness she has added.
