Curt Gowdy passed away

I remember listening to his rich voice on 'The American Sportsman' with my dad.
He also was the broadcaster for the famous 'Heidi' game.

RIP

p.s.
He died yesterday and when I tried to check for a thread I found that 'General Discussion' is unsearchable.
This will cause a lot of 'Reposts' so, we will have to cut reposters some slack.
The battle cry Use The Search is no longer applicable to this forum.

Bummer.

I remember listening to Curt Gowdy announce baseball games. Back when baseball was great.

Great voice.

RIP

Lifeguardjoe is a big Jets fan, I know the Heidi Bowl was before his time but, I remember it and remember Gowdy reminiscing about it.
