I think you and me are the only ones on here that see Stewart for what he really is, a danger to himself and more importantly everyone else on the track. His ego and ignorance blind his judgment, that or maybe he's just an idiot.

This year's race was the most tame in years. I think it was partly due to the weather down there, and not being able to really see everything clearly. That said, it was still the Daytona 500.

Tony Stewart is still the hot-headed, I don't-care-about-anyone driver that he once was. His PR people got out the notion that he was "over that" by a nice spread in ESPN: The Magazine last year, talking all about his family and the anger he's had since childhood. BS!!! He's still an idiot driver, and helped to take out two people today. How NASCAR didn't penalize him more, I don't know. I guess Mike Helton didn't want his newly coronated champ to look like the *** he is. Tony Stewart is NASCAR's Bode Miller, case closed.

BIG UPS to Junior for his Top-10 finish! He got hung out to dry whenever he tried to pass on the outside. Why the other guys don't try to help him is beyond me. I guess they don't like going to the front.

His driving is fine, provided he doesn't whine about aggressive drivers. Oh wait, he did whine about it, so his performance today was quite assholic.

This race was a disgrace! It started with Tony Stupid, and it finished with the Cheating Lowes team. I think Nascar should of Kicked the whole BLOWES team out of the 500 to teach them and everyone else a lesson. This is not a way to start off a racing season.

he wasnt whining about aggressive drivers, he was whining about the ones who do the bump drafting in the corners, or who just slow down for no reason. My feelings are this, he is sending a message, dont F with Tony Stewart or he will put you in the wall. Same as Sr. people knew not to mess with him or he would wreck you. People can say what they want, Sr. and Stewart are great drivers.

and Raoul, Im a ford fan also. ES (38) did really good today considering what he was dealing with

I watched the race and enjoyed it. I've just recently gotten into the sport and although I have not picked my team; Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon are who I cheer for at this time. I'm trying to find a Ford driver to root for.

I too think Stewart is a jack-donkey. I'm very close to boycotting Home Depot just because of their sponsorship.

The owners of the company I work for love Stewart; but I refer to them as Satan so what else would I expect?

I thought the race was a pretty good one. The Tony stewart deal was bad he obciously hasn't matured as a race car driver. Or the fact of his Championship ride last year gave him an ego boost he didn't need. Jimmy tapped him early, but Tony went WAY overboard and like it has been said just simply endagered lives of drivers. I said last night it wasn't that big of deal, but after hearing his afterrace comments he should be knocked out of a few races for blatant recklessness.

I don't diss-like Jimmy Johnson, but it wasn't just his crew chief that did the tampering. Unless, he came in after dark and did it himslef, like Santa, give me a break the whole team cheated, and it would be hard for me to beleive Jimmy didn't know. So, yeah they should have been disqualified for the race.

WAY TO GO JR. He drove a heck of a race. He is usually really bad at intermediate tracks so his showing was very good. I hope his whole year is this consistent.

Well I never was a fan of # 3 either. They are/were great drivers but still had an attitude problem.
I'm jumped on the Mark Martin bandwagon a cpl of years ago. He's driving a F150 in the truck races this year, driving in the Busch races and also driving in the Iroc races which he was champion last year. Since this is his last year in Nascar he's the guy I'm rooting for.

I'll be in Vegas March 10-12 for the Nascar races so I'll be able to see it in person for the 1st time. I've got seats 15 yards from the start finish line 11 rows from the track for qualifying day, busch race and Nextell cup race. (I've got 2 extra tickets by the way)

I was not a fan of # 3 either. I do like # 8 because he does not seem to like his father,yet... His personality is changing a little bit now that his father is gone, but i too have changed when i lost my father a couple of years ago as well. I will be going to both Michigan races this year and to the Bristol Night race. It just was a big disapointment seeing BLOWES team win. The fine and sitting out of the race was no big deal for Knaus, and you know damn well he was calling the shots via his cell phone....

Alright; it's official. I will forever be a fan of Jimmy Johnson and the Lowes team. Ya'll are a bunch of whiners. Jr. didn't win; deal with it.

Go Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon! I will be fans of them FOREVER!!! And I believe Tony Stewart was OUT OF CONTROL.. To talk about people dying from aggresive driving at the bud shootout and then cause 3 accidents I believe.. He needed to be penalized more than just last on the longest line crap.. he BLANTLY(sp) wrecked Matt Kenseth.. and no one deserves to be wrecked... Tony Stewart needs to get over it.. And did anyone see Ryan Newmans bs comments about Jimmie Johnson.. They asked Jimmie about it on ESPN and he said I don't care what he has to say I have the Ring,Trophy, and I went to victory lane.. Figured I'd drop my .02 cents in..
