Matt, send me a link to the "front page of the interent". I'd like to know where it begins.

You crack me up man.

Anyway, send some of that horrible weather my way. We need a freeze that will last a good 2 weeks. So some of these damn bugs will kick the bucket.

Don't know what you're complaining about, we've had snow, thinderstroms and tornadoes all on the same day in Iowa.

Common saying in Iowa is that if you don't like the weather wait a few hours.

Weather crazy here too. After our "blizzard" on Sunday with 2 feet of snow, it's now all gone. Melted just like that. Today a high of 60 with unbelieveable winds and rain. Within minutes the sun is back out. Tomorrow, 30 degrees!

Excerpted frrom AP:

A fierce storm system swept across the Midwest moving eastward on Friday, ripping the roof off an Indiana church, pelting Arkansas with hail and cutting power to thousands in Michigan.

In western New York, winds gusting up to 60 mph early Friday led several schools to close from Buffalo to Rochester and south to the Finger Lakes region, partly out of concern for safety and in anticipation of power outages . . .

. . . In Indiana, an apparent tornado on Thursday blew the roof off a church in Terre Haute, and the roof on an Ivy Tech State College building partially collapsed. Another suspected tornado damaged nearly a dozen homes in Vincennes, about 100 miles southwest of Indianapolis, authorities said.

. . . Temperatures in Arkansas, where Fort Smith reached 79 degrees Thursday, were expected to be in the 20s and 30s Friday. Indianapolis residents woke up to 23-degree weather.

In Rochester, N.Y., the temperature plunged from 60 degrees to the 30s in a few hours overnight. Rochester Gas and Electric Corp. officials said 1,000 customers were already without power by dawn.
Here in sunny So. Cal., was in the 80s and 90s up until Wednesday. At this moment (9:21 AM) it's 44 degrees, with an anticipated high of 60.

Wanna bet on that? I live not too far away from buckdropper and he is telling the truth. You would have to experience it to believe it.

In Iowa, when a big front moves in, it's not unusual to see a 20 degree change in temp in less than five minutes. That's when you head for cover usually.

When that happens around here, we call it a Chinook. I've seen thee temp go from -35C to +20C within 10 to 15 minutes. A Chinook is like a Santa Anna wind, only ours comes through the mountain pass from the Gulf of Alaska. Then the wind stops and changes direction and we plummet back down within another 15 minutes.
Wild to experience, especially when driving. Your windows will instantly, and I mean INSTANTLY, fog up when that happens.
