I just don't know how they get lost when the airplane is wrecked ten feet from a road and 1/4 mile from an airport.

Suspend reality from 9-10PM Wednesday nights and it'll make perfect sense.

Interesting parallel on Dorothy.... Interesting...

I want to know more about the map... I wonder if anyone with a high-def TV can see what was written there?

Henry Gale... his acting stinks! However, I think he's supposed to be like Hannibal Lechter... That's what it seems like to me...

Also, the previews for next week: Looks like Hurley is getting sick. Did he eat too much food from the drop, or was the drop contaminated?

And how long has that food drop been there? They never saw it before, Im suspecting it was dropped when the alarm nearly went off (but that would imply the Dharma corp is still functioning, or maybe theres more guys like were trapped in the hatch on some other island that are meant to deliver the food...)

Good connection with gale and the wizard of oz...makes you wonder, hmmm.

I was thinking the same thing. They freak them out with the announcement (whatever is was saying), then lock them in so that the isolation doesn't get contaminated. Make sense?

"You can make out "I AM HERE" with an arrow pointing to the SWAN STATION. You can also see the medical station logo, and some new logos that are hard to decipher. One of the new stations is: THE FLAME, with a flame logo, and it appears there may be a station called THE PEARL. In addition, the medical station is refered to as THE STAFF. There are also several latin phrases on the map, which translate as follows:

Aegrescit medendo - The disease worsens with the treatment. The remedy is worse than the disease
Sursum corda - Lift up your hearts (to God)
Credo nos in fluctu eodem esse - I think we're on the same wavelength
Malum consilium quod mutari non potest - It's a bad plan that can't be changed.
Cogito ergo doleo - I think therefore I am depressed
Ut sit magna, tamen certe lenta ira deorum est - The wrath of the gods may be great, but it certainly is slow
Hic sunt dracones - Here be dragons
Nil actum credens dum quid superesset agendum - Don't consider that anything has been done if anything is left to be done
Liberate te ex inferis - Save yourself from hell
Mus uni non fidit antro - A mouse does not rely on just one hole "

Yeah I believe so, somebody "deciphered" the writing and put it in legible form. It all "makes sense" so I thiknk it's right. Couldn't find an actual screen cap to look at.

Well abviously it's a research island. I'm wondering if the island itself isn't completely artificial. After looking at that map I'd have to sa they did some crazy stuff there that would have been too "high risk" to be done somewhere else. I'm kinda leaning towards that maybe this has something to do with discovered "alien" technology. Maybe the big "?" in the center of the map is the center fo the research. That would explain some of the ultra wierd stuff that has gone on. The "others" have proven themselves to be involved in all this somehow. Exactly how involved and how much they know is a big question, but after they tried to take the baby I think they have motives beyond survival IMO. The big "whatever" that they run across I would imagine is there to protect something. I think they've establshed that it reacts to fear. Lock has encountered this thing and they never elaborated on it.

On a side note: condensed: So, "maybe", I might have a relative on this show in the future.

Very good insights.

Really, a relative on the show? Cool. Or did I take that the wrong way?

Yeah a relative. I haven't heard anything other than she auditioned. It was a long story with TMI is why it looked wierd. I'll let you know if I hear anything.
